Aryan Khan Case Transferred To NCB’s Delhi Team; Know Why

Mumbai: The Aryan Khan case has been transferred from Narcotics Control Bureau’s (NCB) Mumbai jurisdiction to its Delhi team.

Besides the high-profile rave party drugs-on-cruise case involving Shah Rukh Khan’s son, five other cases have also been transferred to NCB Delhi.

Aryan, who was arrested with others early last month following a rave party raid by NCB’s Mumbai zone director Sameer Wankhede, was released on bail six days ago after he spent 28 days in NCB custody and Arthur Road prison.

NCB and Wankhede thereafter faced serious allegations of extortion and other charges which were mostly levelled by Maharashtra minister Nawab Malik. Wankhede was summoned to Delhi, and a team sent to Mumbai to probe charges of extortion

Wankhede, however, claimed on Friday that he hadn’t been removed from the case.

“I’ve not been removed from the investigation. It was my writ petition in court that the matter be probed by a central agency. So Aryan case & Sameer Khan case are being probed by Delhi NCB’s SIT. It’s a coordination between NCB teams of Delhi and Mumbai,” he said.

Mutha Ashok Jain, NCB’s deputy DG of south-western region, stated that Wankhede will no longer supervise the Aryan case, but continue as zonal director.

A team from Delhi is expected to reach Mumbai on Sunday to continue investigation into the cases.
