Mumbai: Sridevi, who died under controversial circumstances in Dubai on February 18, 2018, lives in the hearts of millions of fans.
The ‘Roop ki Rani’ will be remembered at the 9th Khajuraho International Film Festival, which will be held from December 16 to 22.
The festival will be dedicated to the late superstar, who died at the comparatively young age of 54 but left an indelible mark in Indian cinema.
The Khajuraho festival will pay homage to Sridevi for her significant contribution and versatile performances in Hindi, English, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada films.
Raja Bundela, director of Prayas Production which is organising the festival, said that Sridevi revolutionised Indian cinema with her innovative approach to acting.
“The festival is a tribute to her legacy, acknowledging her achievements and the honour bestowed upon her by the Indian government with the Padma Shri,” Bundela said.
Sridevi’s husband Boney Kapoor will attend the festival along with Gulshan Grover, Asrani, Harish Bhimani, Ali Khan and Pankaj Dheer.
Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and his Cabinet colleagues Kausal Kishor and Faggan Singh Kulaste will also grace the festival.
