Idiotic records were set by Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!, starring Salman Khan, with 7.4 crore footfalls, and Baahubali 2 with 10.7 crore.
The success of the movie is all due to its good script and narration and the performances of the stars Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil. Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2 serves as a sequel to the hit film Pushpa: The Rise and was made with an estimated cost of around ₹500 crore.
As it stands, Pushpa 2 has generated significant revenue across various languages: ₹332.76 crore in Telugu, ₹781.15 crore in Hindi, ₹57.83 crore in Tamil, ₹7.7 crore in Kannada, and ₹14.16 crore in Malayalam. As it is, forecasted on this path, it may well be aiming to come closer to Dangal’s global figure of 2024 crores.
From the way the film has been running at the box office, everyone feels that it is going to set precedents for other Indian films for many more months to come.
