Islamabad: Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir has claimed that divine help from Allah played a key role in protecting the country during a conflict with India, which he referred to as ‘Operation Sindoor’.

In a recent speech at a defence-related meeting, Munir said, “My God is witness that Allah’s help came during Operation Sindoor.” He described feeling this assistance personally and stressed that it saved Pakistan.

The army chief went further, claiming Pakistan’s forces destroyed several Indian assets in the clash. These include Rafale fighters, S-400 missile systems, Su-30, and MiG-29 aircraft. He also said 90 per cent of the technology in the weapons used against India was made within Pakistan.

Munir made these remarks while discussing arms deals, including talks with Libya. He even claimed Allah appointed him as the protector of Mecca and Medina.

The statements highlight how Pakistan’s military leadership often mixes faith with accounts of conflicts involving India. No independent details about ‘Operation Sindoor’ are available in public records. Such claims come amid ongoing tensions between the two neighbours.

Observers note that Munir’s words focus on spiritual support rather than just military strength. This approach is common in his public addresses.
