New Delhi: The All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, has officially commenced the online choice filling process for the B.Sc Nursing counselling 2026. Eligible candidates can now visit the official examination portal to submit and lock their preferences for the first round of seat allocation. Alongside this significant development, the premier medical institute has also released a revised counselling schedule for the M.Sc Nursing programme.

The entire counselling procedure is being conducted online through the official website aiimsexams.ac.in. These admission rounds are designed to fill the nursing seats across various participating AIIMS campuses nationwide, including locations like Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Jodhpur, and Patna. Only those candidates who successfully qualified the respective entrance examinations and secured a rank in the merit list are eligible to participate in this choice filling exercise.

For the B.Sc Nursing course, the choice filling window opened on July 31 and will strictly remain active until August 6, 2026, at 5:00 PM. Candidates are required to log in using their registration credentials, review the available seat matrix carefully, and arrange their preferred colleges in priority order. The authorities have advised students to ensure they lock their choices before the deadline. If applicants fail to manually lock their preferences, the portal will auto lock their saved list. Meanwhile, according to the newly revised schedule, the Round 1 seat allotment result for M.Sc Nursing candidates is slated to be declared on August 6.

Selecting the precise order of preference is highly crucial for all applicants. The choice sequence directly impacts the campus allocation, which is processed based on the candidate entrance rank and category merit. A well planned preference list significantly improves the chances of securing a desired seat, whereas random or incomplete choice filling might lead to an allotment at a less preferred institute.

Following the publication of the provisional seat allotment results, candidates will be presented with two main options. They can either accept the allocated seat and formally withdraw from further counselling rounds, or accept the current seat while opting to participate in the second round for a possible upgrade. Once the seat acceptance is complete, candidates must report to their allotted AIIMS campus for physical document verification. During this stage, students are required to submit their original certificates, including their admit card, educational mark sheets, valid category certificates, and recent passport size photographs.
