Pune: Four-Year-Old Girl Saves Life By Holding On To Window Ledge In Pune City Pune Police Viral Video: A four-year-old girl had a close escape from death in Pune’s Katraj locality as she was rescued after hanging on to the window ledge for some time. The incident took place at Sonawane Building, Katraj, when the child was at home alone and slipped out of the window she was trying to open. A video of the girl hanging from the window has gone viral, with many social media users hailing off-duty fireman Yogesh Chavhan as the “real-life hero” for his timely rescue.
Chavhan rescued Bhawika Chandane, a four-year-old child, from the window ledge. Bhawika’s mother had left the door open for her daughter to play outside on the balcony. Chavhan is working as a fireman in a private company in the city and lives close to where the incident took place. Anshu Mulchandani, a local who shot the video clip from his building across the street, said, “A resident was standing outside the building and saw that the girl had slipped while trying to open the window and had hung on to the window. The girl was slipping with each passing second and was struggling to hold on to the window. Her mother, who had left the balcony open for the girl to play, rushed back from the gate to enter the apartment when the resident standing outside started recording the incident.”

Mulchandani said that he soon realised that the incident was live and rushed to the girl’s house to assist her mother in breaking the door open.
