Originally intended as the people’s car, the Tata Nano failed to make a mark among Indian buyers. While Tata is yet to officially announce Nano’s discontinuation, it has sold only one unit domestically in 2019. The company has not produced a single unit so far this year.
Tata officials have confirmed that the Nano will not be meeting the upcoming safety norms and it will not be upgraded to BS6 fuel standards as well.
