Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has proposed to procure 1 lakh quintal of ragi from during the Kharif season under the Millets Mission.
A High Power Committee Meeting on Odisha Millets Mission held under the Chairmanship of Development Commissioner Suresh Chandra Mahapatra. decided that ragi Ladoos will be a part of children’s diet at anganwadi centres.
Mahapatra stressed better market linkage for millets through Odisha Rural Development And Marketing Society (ORMAS) and an online marketing platform.
