New Delhi: Veteran spinner Sunil Narine showcased his enduring magic in the second match of the Caribbean Premier League 2026, delivering an extraordinary bowling spell for the Trinbago Knight Riders. Playing against the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots, Narine completely choked the opposition batters, securing three crucial wickets while conceding a mere seven runs in his full four over quota.

The most astonishing aspect of his performance was his incredible control over the ball. Out of the twenty four deliveries he bowled, an unbelievable twenty one were dot balls. The batters found it nearly impossible to rotate the strike, struggling to score even a single run off his bowling. This phenomenal display comes shortly after his lethal form in Major League Cricket, proving that his spin bowling remains as deceptive as ever.

Trinbago Knight Riders elected to field first after winning the toss, and their decision was immediately validated by their star bowler. Handed the ball in the second over of the innings, Narine struck twice instantly. He dismantled the top order by dismissing dangerous batters Andre Fletcher and Kyle Mayers, leaving the Patriots reeling early in the match.

While batters usually attempt to launch big shots during the fielding restrictions, Narine bowled three tight overs, giving away just six runs. He concluded the powerplay with a sensational wicket maiden over, trapping Alick Athanaze. His relentless pressure set the tone for the rest of the innings, ensuring the opposition never gained any momentum.

Supported by brilliant spells from his teammates, Narine helped restrict the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots to a paltry total of 109 for 9 in their twenty overs. Terrance Hinds also claimed three wickets, while Dominic Drakes chipped in with two dismissals. For the Patriots, Kevin Wickham was the lone warrior, top scoring with 38 runs and becoming the only batter to cross the thirty run mark in a dismal team performance. Four batters were sent back to the pavilion without opening their accounts.

This dominating bowling performance underscores the sheer strength of the Trinbago Knight Riders this season. Narine continues to prove that his supreme skill set remains unmatched, delighting cricket fans across the globe.
