New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education has opened the post-result process for Class 12 students who are not satisfied with their marks in the 2026 board examinations.
Students can now apply to obtain scanned copies of their evaluated answer sheets and, if required, seek verification or revaluation of marks. The move is aimed at giving students a clearer understanding of their scores and ensuring transparency in the evaluation process.
According to the schedule, the first phase will allow students to apply for copies of their evaluated answer books. This window will remain open from May 19 to May 22. After receiving the scanned copies, students will be able to check their answers against the marking scheme and identify any possible discrepancy.
The second phase will deal with marks verification and revaluation. Students who find an error in marking or totalling can apply during the window from May 26 to May 29. CBSE has said that if any mistake is confirmed by the expert team, the necessary correction will be made.
CBSE Controller of Examinations Sanyam Bhardwaj said the board works with honesty and transparency. He noted that nearly 1.25 crore answer sheets are evaluated, and while chances of error may exist, any mistake brought to notice is corrected promptly.
Students can apply through the official CBSE website, cbse.gov.in, by clicking on the “Post Result Services 2026” or “Apply for Photocopy/Verification” link. They can also access the rechecking portal through cbseit.in.
The process gives students a final opportunity to review their performance and seek correction wherever required.
