Nashik: The controversial Nashik TCS case took a dramatic turn on Monday after investigators claimed that the accused woman employee, Nida Khan, had allegedly shared 171 religious links with the complainant as part of a “systematic influence campaign”.
The development emerged during an ongoing Special Investigation Team (SIT) probe that has already triggered massive debate across Maharashtra. According to investigators, the links included religious videos, messages and online content allegedly aimed at influencing the victim’s beliefs and lifestyle.
Police sources further claimed that the accused frequently visited the complainant’s residence, conducted religious activities and allegedly encouraged changes in dressing habits and prayer routines. Investigators are now examining financial transactions, mobile data and possible external connections linked to the case.
Nida Khan, who was arrested from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar after remaining untraceable for several days, was produced before court amid heightened media attention. The SIT had earlier taken her to both her residence and the TCS office in Nashik to recreate events and collect digital evidence.
The case has also taken a political turn after an AIMIM corporator was accused of allegedly helping the accused with accommodation while she was absconding. BJP and Shiv Sena leaders have demanded a wider probe into possible organisational links.
While the investigation is still underway, the case has sparked intense discussions around workplace relationships, alleged coercion and digital influence networks — making it one of Maharashtra’s most closely watched investigations this week.
