Samastipur (Bihar): In a heartwarming blend of academics and athletics, 14-year-old cricket sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is all set to swap his bat for books as he prepares for his Class 10 board examinations.

The young prodigy, who has already made waves in the cricketing world, will appear for the exams at Podar International School here, starting from February 17.

The school, which doubles as an examination center for both Class 10 and 12 students, has ensured that Vaibhav receives no special privileges, despite his rising fame. His admit card has been issued, and arrangements mirror those for every other pupil, fostering an environment where studies take precedence over stardom.

Principal Neel Kishore emphasised this approach, stating, “Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s centre is here; I confirm this.” The admit card has been received; details are with us. Like a normal child, we have made all arrangements because Vaibhav is a student for us. He will come to give exams like a student. This is not a cricket pitch but completely an academic pitch. Facilities for Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, along with all children, will be the same.”

On security, the principal clarified that standard protocols are in place, with the local administration informed to manage any external needs. “As far as security is concerned, Podar Group is known for security. We have informed the administration, and if they have not taken action, we will ensure that they do so to manage the external arrangements. One more thing, I tell you, we do not make additional security arrangements for any child,” he added.

Vaibhav’s story inspires many, proving that even sporting heroes must conquer the classroom challenges. As exams approach, all eyes are on this Bihar boy balancing dreams on and off the field.
