BSNL Introduces Longest Validity 150-Day Prepaid Plan BSNL has launched a new prepaid plan with a 150-day validity, phone days ahead of Jio and Airtel among private telecom operators. BSNL’s latest offer comes at a very low price with extended validity, which is expected to attract many users, a segment where Jio and Airtel are presently ruling.
Essential Features of the New BSNL Plan
BSNL’s latest plan is targeted at cost-conscious users and comes with various benefits but will cost you ₹397. The plan includes:
Unlimited calling for the first 30 days
2GB Daily Data (up to 60GB over the life of the plan)
100 SMS Daily
After the first 30 days, users can subscribe to a pack for data or call as they see fit. This plan is intended for users wishing to keep their numbers active for extended periods at a low price point.
BSNL had earlier come up with several validity period-based plans, like 70, 180, 336, and 365-day validity period plans. Then again, introducing a 150-day plan only puts more breadth into an already compelling offering and may even draw more users to those healthy profits. According to a recent report, BSNL tended to bring in more than 5.5 million new users last year, thanks to its low-cost plans.
Gio’s 200-Day Validity Plan
Reliance Jio has a similar plan with a 200-day validity priced at ₹2025. Jio’s plan is obviously at a significantly higher price point than what BSNL offers, as you get 2.5 GB of daily data, unlimited calling, and SMS, but unlike BSNL, there is no 30-day cap. Users can enjoy the entirety of the benefits for all 200 days.
Airtel’s ₹398 Prepaid Plan
Airtel has also launched a prepaid plan of ₹398 for 28 days. With this plan, you get 2GB of data per day, 100 SMS per day, and unlimited calling. One significant addition is the free JioHotsar subscription for the plan period.
With this new plan, which has a longer validity period, BSNL is also giving tough competition to its rivals in the prepaid markets.
