Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has adopted the Uttar Pradesh model to fight crime in the state. Police have started bulldozing houses of people linked to violent attacks. This comes just a day after two groups clashed in the Namkum area of Ranchi, killing an indigenous youth and injuring several others.
Nitish and Sushant were among the seven accused who were arrested after the violence broke out in Namkum, Ranchi, over a minor altercation during Holi celebrations. A man named Sonu Munda died as a result of an attack with swords and sticks. The brawl left more than seven people injured. The trouble had started near a liquor shop after some persons from the vicinity of Namkum station reportedly picked up an altercation with people from the Jorar basti.
