PM Modi Calls Goddess Lakshmi Ahead Of Budget: From Prosperity To Development

NewDelhi: Prime Minister Modi addressed the Media ahead of the Budget Session and said that this Budget Session is important for the first time in the last few years, and there has been no such provocation outside the house. Unlike in the case of preceding sessions, there was no effort to agitate or incite unrest ahead of the start of this session, he said. PM Modi said, Many want to stoke the fires, but no one attempted to do it this time.

Construction of new India: 75 years into her journey as a republic, she has reached the love and trust you have given by making me the prime minister for the third time. He said this is the first entire Budget after the 2024 elections of his third term. Sure, all would agree, but it does create the glue for a developed India through our centenary celebrations of Independence in 2047.

PM Modi highlighted that the Budget will provide new energies and revitalisation to the nation and build new confidence to unite the collective efforts of the people to achieve the goal of a developed, prosperous India before the Centenary year of Independence.

However, PM Modi had also prayed to Goddess Lakshmi, the god of prosperity, on the first day of the Budget Session. He offered prayers for her blessings for the welfare of each person in the country, particularly in the poor and middle-class sections of society. “Goddess Lakshmi gives not only wealth but also wisdom and success. He concluded the prayer by saying, “May her grace guide us in this session.”

However, the session was begun in the face of criticism from opposition leaders, who accused the government of breaching parliamentary traditions. They alleged that the interim timetable for the motion of thanks to the President address was given in haste without a meeting for the Business Advisory Committee(BAC) comprising leaders of multiple parties. Opposition parties said such decisions should be taken jointly following parliamentary practice.

The V. Ananth Nageswaran team’s economic review of the situation before them has been done. They put this right at the beginning of their preparations for the session, in which they will budget for the next few months, and there is little doubt these will be important months.
