Mumbai: After an impressive 105-day run, Karanveer Mehra emerged victorious in the reality show “Bigg Boss Season 18.” Host Salman Khan declared Mehra the winner due to audience votes, ahead of fellow contestants Vivian Dsena and Rajat Dalal.
Apart from bringing the trophy home, Karanveer also bagged ₹50 lakh as a cash prize. Karanveer had a mixed bag experience inside the Bigg Boss house throughout the season, as he had a lot of conflicts with co-contestants and Vivian Dsena and some good time too. Earlier, Karanveer had won the title for “Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 14,” where he glorified his skill and resilience and bagged ₹30 lakh along with the car.
Karanveer was active in the entertainment industry for over 20 years, and he debuted on television with the 2005 series ‘Remix.’ His fame rose for his roles in television serials such as Pavitra Rishta (where he costarred with actress Ankita Lokhande) and Baatien Kuch Ankahee Si, Virodh, and Pukar – Dil Se Dil Tak. Apart from films, he has also been a part of web series like Poison 2 and It’s Not Simple and appears in films like Ragini MMS 2, Love Storey 2050, and Mere Dad Ki Maruti.
Karanveer has been married twice, and his personal life has been rife with discussion. In 2009 he married for the first time, but the marriage ended in divorce in 2018. In 2021, he was remarried to actress Nidhi Seth, but a separation came to that relationship in 2023.
But Karanveer once had a grim past that will receive zero tolerance from his father. During his recovery, he later told, he developed an addiction to alcohol but was able to get his life back on track and return to acting.
The finale of Bigg Boss was marked by dramatic eliminations leading up to the final three contestants: Karanveer Mehra, Vivian Dsena, and Rajat Dalal. Vivian finished 1st runner-up, and Rajat was the second runner-up, but it was Karanveer who took home the trophy.
