NewDelhi: Next month, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is launching what for him is a debut on the international podcasting scene, by talking on air with American podcaster Lex Fridman. The podcast will be hosted at the end of February, Fridman announced via a tweet on Sunday.
It’s the first time Fridman has come to India, and he was excited to be able to speak to the Prime Minister. “I am excited about this podcast, and especially this dialogue,” he said.
Since 2018, podcaster Lex Fridman has interviewed numerous high profile figures across technology, science, sports and politics. He has a guest list fit to spite, including fellow billionaires Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, former US President Donald Trump, Facebook co founder Mark Zuckerberg and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. With over 4.5 million subscribers on his YouTube channel Fridman has made a name for himself as a podcasting heavyweight.
This won’t be the first foray into podcasting for Modi, he had previously done a podcast with Nikhil Kamath, co founder Zerodha. In that interview, Modi answered many questions freely posed to him by Kamath, and talked candidly about his personal life, political journey and visions of India’s future.
That anticipation is only heightened for this special conversation between Fridman and Modi, which keen listeners are tuning into to hear what one of the world’s most powerful leaders has to say in the only format that truly encourages openness in dialogue, the exchange of ideas, and discussion.
