Patna: In a update, from Supaul, in Bihars Family Court system recently set a fine of ₹10 on the well known Bollywood vocalist Udit Narayan following a case filed by his first spouse Ranjana Narayan Jha under Section 9 of the Hindu Marriage Act to reconcile their marriage life citing her health conditions and need for her husbands companionship and assistance.
Udit Narayan didn’t show up in court with the courts notification. Chief Justice Rahul Upadhayay, from the Supaul Family Court has granted the singer an extension to submit his response by scheduling the hearing for January 28th in 2025.
In 2022 the legal case involving Ranjan Narayan Jha began according to lawyer Ajay Kumars explanation; however since then the singer has consistently missed court appearances, as per their representatives request for rescheduled dates due, to their celebrity status.
At this point, in her life Ranjana is longing to be acknowledged as a wife and wishes to reside with her husband for support during times of sickness when she has no caretaker around her side.She expressed disappointment about Udits visits to Supaul every years where he makes promises of living together but fails to fulfill them.”My faith, in the system gives me hope that justice will prevail ” she confidently declared.
Udit Narayan is a 69 year individual who hails from Bais Goth village, in Supaul district of Bihar State in India and finished his schooling at Jagjeshwari High School prior to studies at Tribhuvan University located in Nepals capital city Kathmandu. He kickstarted his journey by performing Maithili and Nepali tunes on a community radio channel before relocating to Mumbai in the year 1978 to embark on a career, in the film industry.
He tied the knot, with Ranijana Narayan Jha in 1984 and later, in the 1980s wedded Nepali vocalist Deep Gahatrai after making a name for himself in the music scene; they share a son named Adity Narayan.
Despite the decisions made by the courts in the matter, between them Ranjana claimed that Udit persists in avoiding cohabitation with her and chooses to provide support without offering companionship.She restated her determination to stand up for her rights, in their marriage and expressed her resolve to proceed with action.
