Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Pre-Release Craze: A New Record Setter

Hyderabad: People is eager to watch Pushpa 2: The Rule as Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna are coming back to the cinema for this much awaited sequel. The Sukumar directed movie was planned for a 5th December release and is already making waves setting records before its actual release. With the bookings already opened, this exclusively bright and buoyant action drama has grossed around 30 crore in pre-release business alone indicating abysmal opening on the cards.

As per Sacrolic reports, fans have warmed up to the idea of Pushpa 2 by trending towards advance ticket sales across the language region. The Telugu version for instance has collected ₹10.28 crore through advance bookings apart from making ₹7.45 crore from the Hindi version. However, the Malayalam version emerged next with a collection of ₹46.69 lakh, which was again from 2D shows only.

Telangana has reached immense ticket sales of ₹6.76 crore and when including the blocked tickets; it has gone as high as ₹9.38 crore. Karnataka has donated 3.15 crore, Maharashtra has added 2.64 crore, and including all languages the national total goes up to 30.88 crore before the film is released.

Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2: The Rule is built upon an enormous fan base expectation following the massive hit of Pushpa: The Rise. It has a production budget of ₹400 crore, however it has a big scope pre-release hype and advance bookings some analysts believe that it can break-even in the first week itself.

Since Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna will be back as Pushpa and Srivalli respectively, the audience will get the same feel as the first Part. To enthral the audience, the film has thrilling action scenes, world’s most popular music and a heart touching realistic plot.

However, right before the release of Julayi, Allu Arjun has become a controversy figure. An environmentalist from Hyderabad has lodged a complaint against the actor, wherein the actor said ‘army’ referring to his fans during a promotional programme. It is alleged that the casual use of the term is an insult to the real armed forces of the nation. It has opened the debate albeit is yet to make a scratch on the surface of the film’s progress.

With its massive budget, gripping narrative, and stellar cast, Pushpa 2: The Rule is being said to be a revolutionary for the Indian cinema. The movie is expected to open new benchmarks in the box-office both the South Indians and the Bollywood and international markets. Let alone the first week, if the advance bookings are anywhere to go by, the film is all set to tyrannise for weeks to come.

This brings us to the big question — how well will Pushpa 2 open when its the fans wait for the movie from 5th December onwards? Going by the early word of mouth, it has the possibility of breaking all previous records and become another path breaker for Allu Arjun.
