NewYork: The Republican candidate in this year’s US presidential election Donald Trump has also won a clear majority of 538 electoral college votes to become the new President of the United States of America by polling 297 votes above the minimum required figure. According to the most recent poll, Trump has 277 electoral votes, while the Democratic candidate Kamala Harris has 226. 35 contests have not been decided yet, and Trump is ahead in all of the outstanding vote counts.
By the same logic, should the trends continue, Trump stood to get 312 votes while Harris will get 226. The last of the outcomes are yet to be announced, but it looks quite much certain that Trump would easily defeat Harris.
Perhaps Trump’s biggest triumph was in the largest of the swing states in America, Pennsylvania. Trump has been able to defy the odds here and is ahead in all the big swing states: Michigan, Wisconsin, Georgia, Nevada, Arizona, and North Carolina by AP trends.
Fox News also puts Trump at 267 electoral college votes while Harris has only been projected to have 226 electoral college votes meaning Trump is leading. This lead has now grown when the remaining electoral college results have been received.
Apart from his triumph in the presidential seat, Trump’s Republican party has also triumphed in the US Senate where 51 of its candidates have defeated the Democrats who fielded 42 of their party candidates. This change has placed a newly strengthened Republican dominance over Congress, and marks a noticeably different trend of America Politics.
The Republicans’ victories across primary swing states and both chambers of Congress cement the political return of Donald Trump and the Republican Party in the U.S.
