Diwali Delight: “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3” Overpowers Competition & Emerges A Record Breaker!

Mumbai: Netizens waft about expectations of the clash between Karthik Aryan starring as Ru Baba and Vidya Balan reprising Manjulika in the much-awaited “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3”. The film is doing well for itself even against the major competition it faced from Ajay Devgn’s ‘Singham Again’ during Diwali season, box office is going through the roof on day to day basis.

On its first day, “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3” collected ₹35.5 crores. As predicted, it got affected by the showdown against the “Singham Again” but reports from Sacnilk reveal that the film stabilised on the second day with ₹36.50 crores in domestic collection. The rising numbers are an encouraging sign since forecasts point towards even more earnings come Sunday.

Not only “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3” has opened to higher numbers than the previous films in the franchise but the film’s second-day collection makes it the 16th highest grossing Bollywood film on second day. Interestingly, it has beaten “Stree 2” which had raked ₹31.4 crores on the second day in India adding to its dominance in the box office.

Altogether, the film touched ₹55.30 crores globally in the first day, which is surely a sign to go past ₹100 crore soon. Still, ‘Dangal’ which claimed over ₹2000 crores overseas collected ₹33.93 crores in India on the second day and is ranked at 18th in the list of top second day collectors for Indian films—two ranks behind Karthik Aryan’s latest release.

As much as the spectators loved the storey of “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3”, some fans shared a such opinion that something in compared with the very first part something in the movie does lack a little bit of magic. The original movie featuring Akshay Kumar got a right mix of comedy and horror something which according to some critics has not been done aptly in this new sequel.

With the holiday season ongoing, the two releases in “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3” and “Singham Again” will be expected to give a keen interest to the cinema audiences and the trade circles on how this box office duel shapes up.
