India’s Animation Boom: PM Modi Looks At Turning India Into A global Powerhouse – ‘Mann Ki Baat’

New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi in his 115th address of the Mann Ki Baat programme air on Sunday took pride in India’s growing animation and game sector and how fast it is expanding in artistic fields. He gave some examples on how Indian talent is going global comment how a meeting with top Indian gamers opened his eyes into the extend of creativity in Indian games which are going virile.

Looking at the other sectors, the Prime Minister shifted focus to the Indian investments in the international media where Indian animators have worked for international big projects. “Be it any latest super hit movie, Spider-Man or Transformers movies Indian talent like Harinarayan Rajeev has been applauded,” Modi said. It helped him quire that the Indian youngsters came up with fresh content that represents the Indian culture that pulls the outsiders through the uniqueness.

World Animation Day

On the occasion of the World Animation Day, PM Modi pointed out the increased role of the animation industry as a strong field supporting other fields. Self-Reliant India – “Make for the World”

In the course of the nationwide consultation on the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative, PM Modi said self-reliance is a wave that is encompassing all spheres of activity in India. He also discussed transition from import to manufacturing mobile phones and India which was once a largest importer of defence equipment now exports to more then 85 countries. Prime Minister Narendra Modi fast forwarded the country’s achievements in space technology and urged individuals to share local inventions with the trending tag #AtmanirbharInnovation to motivate others.

The Prime Minister further celebrated India’s evolution from “Make in India” to “Make for the World”, encouraging citizens to shop local this festive season under the mantra “Vocal for Local.”

Combatting Digital Fraud

In an important segment, PM Modi addressed digital fraud, sharing a three-step approach for responding to suspicious calls and messages: Stop, Think, Act. He encouraged the citizens not to be scared, panic or overreact where there were any incidence of suspicion. Speaking about cyber threats, he suggested calling national cyber helpline number of 1930 and reporting on incidents on cybercrime.gov.in.
