Ranchi: Giving a new turn to the political realignment within the INDIA bloat in Jharkhand, RJD strategists today made clear of their disgr ement over the new announced seat sharing formula between the JMM, Congress, RJD and the Left parties. Jha said he was disappointed, calling the decision made by JMM and Congress as ‘partial’ stating that RJD was not involved enough in the decision-making process.
In his interview to the media, Jha said that in the meeting of the RJD, it had emerged that the party should have 15-18 seats where the RJD could defeat the BJP without the help of other partners of the Grand Alliance. He also suggested that all political possibilities are achievable adding that no party has the luxury of silencing its heroes and foot soldiers.
Jha suggests that RJD could go solo I didn’t know what to expect for the coming future would RJD go solo or remain allied to thethird force?
Jha said that everybody in our leadership was present there. During the meeting which was conducted this morning we agreed that RJD has considerable support in several areas. We have realised that there are areas where we ourselves can throw BJP out of power.’
Despite this, Jha reiterated RJD’s primary objective: removing the BJP from power. This message remains the same and as it was before – our target is to remove the BJP from power. However it was a bit disappointing to find that a decision has been made in this unilateral manner. We have established ourselves in many district and we want the partners to consider that when making final decisions.
New Seat-Sharing Formula Unveiled Over RJD’s Head
Jha made the statement after Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren addressed a press conference where the seat-sharing of all the parties constituting the INDIA bloc alliance was declared. As per the alliance, JMM-Congress has got 70 of the 81 assembly seats leaving only 11 for RJD and the Left combine.
Although things seem to have worked well in the favourable direction decision making this appears to have created ripples within RJD Jha expressed that senior leaders of RJD including Opposition Leader Tejashwi Yadav were present in Ranchi to deliberate on the alliance but were not involved in preparing the formula.
Republicans in Congress Avoid Involving the Cabinet
Making it worse, Congress has made a decision not to be involved in the cabinet of the alliance. The party said it is willing to enter government only after getting full statehood for Jharkhand. While the National Conference offers the Congress a ministerial position, the Congress has stayed out, saying it will not be an active party until this condition is fulfilled.
