Hardeep Singh Puri Lauds Modi’s Leadership As India Rises In Asia Power Index

NewDelhi: Senior BJP leader and Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri has praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for India’s ascent in the 2024 Asia Power Index, where the nation has secured the third position, trailing only behind the United States and China. Puri attributes this achievement to Modi’s visionary leadership and strategic global approach.

Speaking to the press, Puri emphasised that India’s rise is not a mere coincidence. “This is the result of Prime Minister Modi’s effective diplomatic strategy,” he stated. He highlighted that Modi’s dedication to reshaping India’s image on the world stage has been instrumental. “Without his leadership, India would still have remained a backward country,” Puri added.

The Asia Power Index, compiled by the Sydney-based Lowy Institute, recognises India’s innovation and influence across multiple categories. Puri noted that this advancement is a direct outcome of Modi’s increased international engagement, asserting, “It is the result of Prime Minister Modi’s tireless efforts on the world stage that India has once again found its place on the global map.”

In his remarks, Puri also took aim at the Congress party, critiquing the previous government’s leadership as contributing to a “directionless” India. He referenced Modi’s ambitious goal of making India the third-largest economy by 2043, suggesting that this objective is now within reach. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) projects that India could achieve this milestone even sooner, by 2027.

As India’s influence continues to grow on the global stage, the BJP appears confident that Modi’s leadership will pave the way for further successes in the years to come.
