New York: Former US President Donald Trump was attacked during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. The incident occurred while Trump was speaking on stage when gunfire erupted, causing him to duck as security personnel quickly surrounded him. Blood was visible on his face following the attack.

The attack took place at 4 AM IST (6:30 PM local time) on Saturday evening. The FBI has since released a statement confirming that the incident was an assassination attempt. Kevin Rosek, the special agent in charge of the FBI’s Pittsburgh field office, told reporters, “There was an attempted assassination on former President Donald Trump here.”

The FBI is actively investigating the crime scene, seeking to identify the assailant and determine the motive behind the attack. Officials have requested the public’s assistance in providing any information that could aid the investigation. Speaking about the attack, Trump said, “The bullet struck the upper part of my right ear. I felt a sensation near my ear and realized something was wrong. I was bleeding profusely and was in shock. It’s unbelievable that this could happen in our country. We don’t know anything about the shooter, and he is dead.”
