New Delhi: In a significant decision, the Delhi High Court took strong objection to Rahul Gandhi’s remarks referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a “pickpocket.”
Presiding over the case, the bench firmly stated that it is not acceptable to use such derogatory language against the Prime Minister. The court emphasised that political leaders must refrain from making defamatory statements that could potentially damage the reputation of public figures.
The judges directed the ECI to submit a detailed report within 8 weeks explaining the steps taken to address the situation.
