Jacqueline Fernandez Approaches Court Over Conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar’s Letters

New Delhi: Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez has approached the Patiala House Court in Delhi, seeking an order to restrain conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar from issuing any further letters, messages, or statements addressed to her directly or indirectly.

Fernandez, who is a protected witness in a ₹200 crore money laundering and extortion case linked to Chandrashekhar, alleged that he has been persistently sending troubling letters to various electronic and print media platforms.

These letters, once published by the media outlets, create an alarming and distressing environment for her, affecting her safety and well-being, according to Fernandez’s plea.

The Economic Offence Wing (EOW) of Delhi Police, which is investigating the case, has supported Fernandez’s application, stating that Chandrashekhar’s actions have been harassing and threatening to the actress.

The court has listed the matter for further hearing on January 17, 2023.

Fernandez had recently also moved the Delhi High Court, seeking the quashing of an FIR and supplementary chargesheet filed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the same case.

She alleged that the ED has acted in a biassed manner by arraigning her as an accused while giving a clean chit to other individuals involved in the case.

Chandrashekhar and his actor wife, Leena Maria Paul, were arrested by the Delhi Police in September last year for their alleged role in the duping case.
