New Delhi: Trinamool Congress MP Kalyan Banerjee made headlines on Wednesday for mimicking Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar on the steps of Parliament. A video of Banerjee’s mimicry has gone viral on social media.
Banerjee’s mimicry came at a time when opposition party MPs were protesting outside the Parliament House over the suspension of 12 Rajya Sabha members. In the video, Banerjee can be seen imitating Dhankhar’s manner of speaking, including his accent and hand gestures.
The video also shows Congress leader Rahul Gandhi recording Banerjee’s mimicry on his mobile phone.
