New Delhi: Following security lapse in Parliament, senior officials from the Intelligence Bureau have arrived at the new Parliament building complex to conduct a thorough investigation.
A team from the Bureau has already questioned Sagar Sharma and Manoranjan, the two individuals who jumped into the Lok Sabha chamber from the visitors’ gallery during the Zero Hour session. The investigation aims to ascertain their backgrounds and potential motives.
Initial information indicates that Sagar Sharma, a resident of Mysuru, is an engineering student at a university in Bengaluru. Manoranjan also hails from Mysuru and is involved in the entertainment industry.
The Intelligence Bureau, along with local police, has reached the residences of both individuals and is conducting further investigations. Both their phones have been seized, and they are being questioned about their possible affiliations with any organizations.
Additionally, documents recovered from the two are being examined, and the Bureau is in close contact with other agencies involved in the investigation of the four people already arrested in connection with the incident.
CCTV footage of all checkpoints Sharma and Manoranjan passed through before entering the visitors’ gallery is currently being reviewed. A team from the Forensic Science Laboratory has also arrived at Parliament House to collect evidence and assist with the investigation.
This incident has raised serious concerns about the security arrangements at Parliament House, and the ongoing investigation aims to address these concerns and prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
