Encounter Between Lawrence Bishnoi Gang & Delhi Police; 3 Arrested

New Delhi: An encounter broke out between cops and Lawrence Bishnoi gang members in the Capital’s Rohini area on Saturday.

Following a tip-off on Bishnoi gang members, Delhi Police’s Special Cell laid a trap near Barwala-Bawana Road in Delhi on Saturday afternoon, India Today reported.

The information turned out to be true, and despite being warned by the police to surrender, the alleged gangsters fired three to four rounds and tried to escape. The police opened fire in retaliation.

One of the police officers was shot at during the gunfight, but his bullet-proof jacket saved him.

Three people — Naveen, Manoj and Karambir, all from Haryana’s Jhajjar – were arrested from the spot with three pistols and 11 cartridges being recovered from them.

According to police, the trio was in direct contact with wanted gangster Goldy Brar, currently based in Canada, through ‘Signal’ app for the last few days.

Brar had reportedly arranged money, shelter and weapons for them to eliminate a target, which was to be disclosed on the day of execution.

All three arrested men are wanted in an armed robbery case at a liquor shop in Gurugram.
