Should Airlines Charge Extra For Printed Boarding Pass? Flyer Complains To Scindia

New Delhi: Union Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia on Saturday promised to look into complaints of airlines charging extra for boarding pass.

“Agreed, will examine this asap!” Scindia said, responding to a tweet that complained about SpiceJet.

“New rule of SpiceJet. If you wish to get a boarding card at the check in counter,you need to pay extra. This is like telling a customer In a restaurant that if you want eat in a plate, you will be charged. Wonder what’s conssumer forum doing!@flyspicejet,” Dr Neeti Shikha tweeted.

“Ridiculous .Is  @JM_Scindia listening?” wrote Madhavan Narayanan, responding to her tweet.

IndiGo charges a facilitation fee of Rs 200 for airport check-in but doesn’t charge for boarding pass.
