Agra: Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) chief Jayant Chaudhary’s “Not a coin, won’t flip” response to BJP’s apparent attempts to woo him has drawn a sharp reaction from Union Education and Skill Development Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
Pradhan called the RLD chief a “kid with little knowledge of history”.
The BJP leader and Union Minister from Odisha said that Chaudhary had forgotten how many times his father, late Ajit Singh, changed parties.
Pradhan, who is also the BJP’s Uttar Pradesh poll in-charge, was speaking after listening to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ at Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar University here on Sunday.
Chaudhary, the grandson of former Prime Minister Charan Singh, has joined hands with Akhilesh Yadav’s Samajwadi Party (SP) for the Uttar Pradesh elections.
Last week, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that Chaudhary had chosen the “wrong home”.
The RLD leader, however, tweeted in Hindi, “Invite those +700 farmer families which you have destroyed, not me.”
“Not a coin, won’t flip,” Chaudhary had said later.
