Cruise Drug Bust Case: Wankhede Part Of Plot To Kidnap Aryan, Says Malik; Businessman Claims Actor’s Son Framed

Mumbai: Maharashtra Minister and NCP leader Nawab Malik on Sunday accused the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB)’s Mumbai zone Director Sameer Wankhede of being part of a larger plot to kidnap Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan.

Malik has levelled a series of allegations against Wankhede. On Sunday, the minister alleged that Wankhede and a BJP leader wanted to kidnap Aryan for ransom. “Aryan didn’t purchase the ticket for the cruise party… It’s a matter of kidnapping and ransom,” the minister alleged.

Malik alleged that some people had hatched a conspiracy to lure Aryan and others onboard the ship and then frame them in the drugs case.

Wankhede has alleged that Malik was targeting him as he had earlier arrested the minister’s son-in-law Sameer Khan in a narcotics case.

On Friday, the NCB transferred six cases, including the case in which Aryan was arrested, from Wankhede to a Special Investigation Team (SIT) headed by Odisha cadre IPS officer Sanjay Singh.

Singh, the former Additional Commissioner of Police (Bhubaneswar-Cuttack), is currently posted as the Deputy Director General at the NCB headquarters in New Delhi.

Aryan framed, claims businessman

Meanwhile, a Mumbai-based businessman, Vijay Pagare, has claimed that Aryan was “framed” and “implicated” by some people for money. “It was a pre-planned raid,” he told Marathi news channels on Saturday.
