I’m Alright, Says AIIMS Director Randeep Guleria A Day After Getting COVID Vaccine

New Delhi: AIIMS Director Dr Randeep Guleria, who was among the first ones to get vaccinated on the first day of COVID-19 vaccination drive on Mondy said that he didn’t experience any side effects because of the vaccine.

“I didn’t experience any side effect. I have been working since morning and attending meetings as well. I’m all right”, Randeep Guleria said while speaking to India Today TV.

Dr Guleria also urged people to get vaccinated in a bid to lower COVID-19 mortality rate in the country.

“I just want to tell people that if we have to get out of this Covid era, reduce mortality rate, restore the economy, reopen schools and bring life back to normal, then everyone should come forward and get vaccinated. Only then we will be able to move forward,” Randeep Guleria was quoted as saying.

On the allergic reactions to people after the first coronavirus vaccine, he said any medicine can cause an allergic reaction.

Even Crocin and paracetamol can sometimes cause allergic reactions,” Randeep Guleria told India TV.

“Some serious side effects include rashes, anxiety, breathlessness. However, there is nothing to worry about. Arrangements have been made everywhere to deal with such side effects,” Randeep Guleria added.
