Abhijita Gupta may only be 7 years old, but her ample talent has already been acknowledged globally.
She has not only been recognized as the world’s youngest author by the International Book of Records, Abhijita has been conferred the title of ‘Grandmaster in Writing’ by Asia Book of Records.
The India Book of Records has mentioned her as the youngest author to write poetry and prose, the Hindustan Times reported.
Her book ‘Happiness All Around’ — a collection of short stories and poems with illustrations – has won international acclaim. Published by Invincible Publishers, it is available as a hard copy and in Kindle edition as well.
Creativity runs in her blood as Abhijita represents the third generation of the accomplished poet duo — Rashtrakavi Maithilisharan Gupt and Santkavi Shri Siyaramsharan Gupt.
Class 2 student Abhijita, the only daughter of Ghaziabad-based chartered accountant Ashish Gupta and engineer-turned-entrepreneur Anupriya Gupta, started writing at the age of 5 years. But it was during the prolonged coronavirus-induced lockdown that she turned into a prolific writer.
“The surroundings and even little things inspire me. I write about positive things — what I hear, see or feel,” says Abhijita, whose favourite poems are titled ‘Mother Earth’, ‘Let’s try, let’s fly’, ‘Study is my best buddy’ and ‘Precious Friendship.’
“Every parent has a dream to be known by his child. For us, it came too soon. Abhijita’s book will leave a positive impact on society and inspire kids of her age,” says her father.
‘Happiness All Around’ is for children and is among the few to be authored by a kid. It has been published by Invincible Publishers and is available both as a hard copy and a Kindle edition.
Abhijita’s next book to be released is on COVID-19 pandemic and its effect on children.
