New Delhi: The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has again extended the last date for filing the income tax return for assessment year 2019-20 to November 30.
In a statement on Wednesday, the Income Tax department said the decision was taken after further consideration of genuine difficulties being faced by the taxpayers due to the COVID-19 situation.
This is for the fourth time that the department has extended the last date for filing the tax returns for 2019-20 assessment year. It was first revised till 30 June, then 31 July, and later till 30 September.
