Showik Chakraborty‘s Bail Plea Rejected, Sent To NCB Custody For 4 Days

Mumbai: A local court in Mumbai rejected Showik Chakraborty’s bail plea on Saturday.

According to a Times Now report, the court has sent Rhea’s brother Showik and Sushant’s former house manager Samuel Miranda to the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) custody for 4 days.

Times Now has accessed the remand copy of Showik which states: “Showik is a part of an active drug syndicate. High profile persons are a part of that syndicate. There’s a purpose to uncover others in the syndicate.”

Showik and Miranda were arrested by the NCB team on Friday, following a raid at their residences.

Recovered WhatsApp chats from Showik and Rhea’s phone show that the brother-sister duo was involved in substance abuse.

During interrogation, Showik confessed to NCB that he was procuring drugs for his sister Rhea.

Besides Showik and Samuel, the NCB has also arrested Zaid Vilatra and Abdel Basit Parihar in connection with the drug cartel.

So far, the NCB has arrested nearly seven drug peddlers in the substance abuse case. One of the drug peddlers admitted having links with Showik.
